1. Loreal Touche Magique Concealer
I've had this product for ages. It's no longer in production now.

2. Cetaphil | 500 ml | Made in Canada
This is a gentle facial cleaner and a must have product for me. It doesn't irritate nor dry out my skin.

3. Catrice Mat Foundation | 30ml | Made in Poland
Love this product. Unfortunately, it's not possible for me to purchase this shade anymore :(

4. Timotei Nutrition Intense Repair Shampoo | 400 ml | Made in .... hmmmm.......doesn't say on the packaging!
This product does what a shampoo is supposed to do, I guess.

Empties | April 2017

I only finished two products in April.

1. Oxy Oil Control Moisturiser | 45g | Made in China
This worked well on my skin. It wasn't oily.

2. St Ives Exfoliating Apricot Body Wash Gel | 400 ml | Made in U.S.A.
This was good. It contains 100% natural jojoba beads, smells good and more importantly, this product is not tested on animals.

3. Tesco Loves Baby | Baby Wipes | 30 Sheets | Made in Malaysia
I use this as makeup remover wipes and it does the job.

These are the products I finished in March 2017:

1. Catrice Even Skin Tone | 030 Even Sand | 30 ml | Made in Italy

I loved this foundation. It is has sadly been discontinued :(

2. Silky Girl Skin Perfect O2 Liquid Foundation | 25 ml
This was an okay foundation. Not sure if I'd repurchase it though.

3. Bon Bons Malizia Eau de Toilette | Primobacio | 50 ml | Made in Italy
I purchased this product out of curiosity in my local Village Grocer quite awhile back (and by that I mean a few years ago). They have since stopped carrying this brand.

4. Adidas Fruity Rhythm Perfumed Deo | 150 ml | Made in EU
This, as the name describes, smells fruity --- a scent that I love. It also doesn't leave stains on my clothes which is a big plus in my books.

5. Tender Soft Baby Wipes | 30 Sheets | Made in Malaysia
I purchased this product since they are out of my regular Tesco Baby Wipes. The packaging is so cute! The product cleans my face well and I like that there are enough sheets in there to last a month.

6. Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder | 030 Medium | 8.017 g | Made in U.S.A.
This pressed powder didn't help mattify my super oily skin :/

7. Daiso Silky Oil Blotters | 100 Sheets
This is an absolute must have in my handbag.

Empties | November 2016

These are the products that I finished in November, 2016:

1.  Cetaphil | 500 ml | Made in Canada
This is a staple in my daily routine (which explains the 500 pump bottle size). It's non-drying and doesn't irritate skin. This was purchased in a pack of 3 so I still have two more to go!

2. Soap & Glory Peaches and Clean 4 in 1 Wash Off Deep Cleansing Milk | 350 ml | Made in the UK 

I use this product sometimes when I feel that the baby wipes are not removing my face products well enough (which explains why this product has lasted me so long). Soap & Glory products cost a fraction of the price that they are sold for in Sephora in Malaysia and since wising up to this fact, I have purchased two bottles of this product in the UK as backups.

I love the smell though I do feel that it can be a tad too strong of a product and dry out my skin if I use it too often,

3. Oral B Floss | Made in Ireland
This is a default item in my handbag.

Empties | October 2016

These are the products that I finished using in October 2016:

1. Boots Zingy Berries & Cream Shower Gel | 250 ml | Made in Bulgaria
This was purchased on my recent holiday to Bangkok. I simply love the scent and texture of this shower gel. Good thing that I have backups!

2. Adidas Women Deodorant Pure Lightness Perfumed Deo | 150 ml | Made in EU
The scent of this deodorant is not as strong as Nivea and I prefer this to Nivea.

3. Catrice Nude Illusion Make Up | 30 ml | Made in Italy
I had a love hate relationship with this product but I persevered and used it all up! It goes on nicely but it tends to separate on my face and I just couldn't figure out if it was my primer that it was reacting to! I am now working on my the next foundation to finish on my list.

4. Citrus Hotel Guest Bar Soap
I like to use things up instead of wasting them. This was from my Bangkok trip.

5. Biore Perfect Cleansing Water| 90 ml | Made in Vietnam 
I didn't buy this product. I got it free in an exchange program where I exchanged an empty bottle of makeup remover with a new bottle of the product. This is supposed to be a makeup remover for face, eyes and lips but I used it as an eye makeup remover. It was an okay product.

6. NYX HD
This eyeshadow primer lasted me ages. It was okay, I guess but I have since moved on to another product which I like more so it's quite unlikely that I'll be repurchasing this product.

Empties | June 2016

These are the products that I finished in June 2016:

1. Biore UV Perfect Skin Milk | 30 ml | Made in Japan
This deceivingly small bottle lasted me over three months (I was expecting to get only about two months out of it max so I was surprised)!

I initially purchased this product as a sunscreen but discovered that it is also a primer at the same time!

I love that this product lets my skin stay less oily for longer. It does leave a slight white cast on my skin but I would rather live with the white cast rather than expose my skin to the UV rays out there. It's a small compromise to make.

I have since purchased three backup bottles of this product during Watson's sale. Love!

2. Oral B Essential Floss | 50 m | Made in Ireland
Love this product and have since stocked up on more during Guardian's 3 for 2 promotion.

3. Daiso Silk Oil Blotters | 100 Sheets | Made in Japan
This is one of my must have products in my handbag.

4. FA Pink Deodorant | 150 ml | Made in Germany
This was part of a three pack that I purchased quite a while ago while I was in Dubai. I love the scent, not too overpowering. This was the last of the pack :(

5. Essence All About Matt! Loose Powder | 0.38 oz/ 11 g | Made in Italy
This one lasted me a long time. The powder is white in colour and had to be used sparingly in order not to leave a white cast on my skin. This product is no longer available in Malaysia, so no repeat buys for me :(

6. MooGoo Scalp Cream 250g/ 8.8 oz | Hand Made | Made in Australia
I purchased this years ago. MooGoo is an Australian  organic product line containing no nasties. Fragrance free and mineral oil (paraffin oil) free.

These are the products that I finished in May 2016:

1. Essence Cookies and Cream Hand Balm | 100 ml | Made in Poland
This was a limited edition hand balm by Essence and had the scent of cookies! Mmmm....yum!

2. Tesco Loves Baby Moisturising Baby Wipes | 30 Sheets 
 Made in Malaysia
Unlike the previous packs of Tesco Loves Baby Wipes which were made in Korea, this one is made in Malaysia. I didn't notice a difference in quality though.

3. Guardian Dental Mint Floss | 60 m | Made in China
This dental floss is the thicker sort. It was okay, but kind of a struggle to slide between close set teeth.

These are the products that I finished using in April 2016:

1. Tesco Everyday Value | Facial Cotton Pads | 100 pieces | Made in Malaysia

This is one of my everyday staples. It's good, doesn't cost an arm and a leg and does what it's supposed to do.  :)

2. Tesco Loves Baby | Moisturising Baby Wipes | 30 Sheets | Made in Korea

Another of my everyday staples that I use as makeup remover wipes. I don't wear a lot of makeup and this does a good job in removing my makeup before I wash my face with a facial cleanser. 

This product is alcohol an paraben free.

3. Stila Color Convertible | Magnolia | 0.75 oz / 4.25 g | Made in U.S.A.

This product lasts a long time even with daily use for work. I got this is part of a Christmas set that I purchased in Sephora around two years ago. I've been wearing this to work for over a year (about 16 months, to be exact). 

While the colour Magnolia may not look bright in the container, it gives my cheeks a nice natural looking healthy glow when applied on my cheeks. Unfortunately, this colour has been discontinued. 

I love Stila's Color Convertibles and I have the other colours in deluxe sizes which I purchased as a set of three. 

4. Guardian Facial Oil Blotters | 100 sheets

Do not buy these. I painstackingly finished this pack of oil blotters which I purchased a long time ago. They don't absorb oil very oil. No!

Made in Germany
This was my staple foundation which I used daily to work. You can read my review on it here. Sadly, this product has been discontinued :(

2. Tesco Loves Baby | 30 Moisturising Baby Wipes 
Made in Korea
I use this product as makeup remover wipes and it does the job. Better still, it doesn't cost an arm and a leg! You can read my review on this product here.

3. Daiso | Silk Oil Blotting Paper | 100 Sheets
My repeat buy to combat the oilies on my skin.

4. Skin Wisdom Moisture Care Soap | 100 g 
Made in China
This product is produced for Tesco UK in China. It is a pretty moisturising soap and costs a lot less if compared to body washes.

5. Bagno Doccia Shampoo | Milk & Peach Shampoo & Body Wash | 500ml
Made in Italy
I purchased this in the supermarket next door to where I live. It's an okay product that does what it's supposed to do.

6. Wilko Fruits Chocolate Orange Fragrance Explosion Body Butter | 100ml
Made in China
I purchased this on my recent trip to London. While I love scent (who can resist the scent chocolate oranges?), I certainly didn't like the texture. Finishing it was a pain. Read the full review here.

7. Bubble T Bath & Body | Summer Fruits Tea Body Spray | 100ml 
Made in the UK
This was purchased while I was in London last Christmas. I love this scent of berries. Too bad that I only purchased one bottle :(

8. Carrefour Dental Floss | 50m 
Made in EU
I bought this dental floss while I was in Dubai recently. It did the job.

Empties | February 2016

... and these are my February 2016 empties.....

1. Bourjois | 123 Perfect Foundation in No. 55 | 30 ml | Made in France
This worked really well for me while I was in London recently when I found that my staple Catrice Photo Finish foundation was too dry for me in the winter. I was glad that I packed this foundation along for my trip.

I enjoyed using this foundation. The colour matched my skin well but unfortunately, the Bourjois 123 Perfect foundation range seems to no longer be available in Malaysia :(

I tried looking up for this product on the Boots website but the darkest colour that they had was no. 54 :(

2. Fa Deodorant | Pink Passion | 150 ml | Made in Germany
I love the scent. I purchased this in Dubai as part of a set of three. It claims to protect for 24 hours.

What I love most about it is that it doesn't leave any mark on my clothes.

Fa used to be sold here but sadly, this brand is no longer available here... :(

3. TRESemme Shampoo | Luxurious Moisture for Dry or Dull Hair | 500 ml | Made in EU
This shampoo worked well for me. It didn't dry out nor make my super sensitive scalp itch. The only reason I have not repurchased this shampoo is because I had been eyeing the Timotei shampoo for quite awhile now and wanted to try it out.

4. Nivea Anti-Perspirant | Extra Whitening | 60 ml | Made in Thailand
I got this as a freebie when I purchased a full sized Nivea anti-perspirant. It is the perfect travel size and I took this one on my London trip. It claims to work for 48 hours.

My one issue with all Nivea anti-perspirants is that they all leave a white stain on my tops :(

5. Dr Fresh Velocity Dental Floss | Waxed | 130 yards | Made in China
This was something that I picked out from Village Grocer out of curiosity. It did what it was supposed to do. If I remember correctly, it was cheap for the length of floss in the package.

6. Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser | 250 ml | Made in Canada
This is a super gentle cleanser that doesn't leave my skin feeling tight like most other cleansers do (you can read my review on this product here). I loved this cleanser and have since purchased the 500 ml pump bottle. Love!

2. St Ives Oatmeal & Shea Butter Body Wash | 400 ml

Love the smell and it's paraben free!

3. Rimmel Gentle Eye Make Up Remover | 125 ml

I've had this for years. It's an okay product, not really great at removing waterproof eye makeup though.

4. Daiso Silk Facial Oil Blotters

A must have in my handbag (especially in this hot and humid weather).

5. Tesco Everyday Value | Facial Cotton Pads | 100 pieces

Does the job, love the price.

Empties November 2015

These are what I finished in November 2015:

1. Tesco Loves Baby | 30 Moisturising Baby Wipes

I used these as makeup wipes. They do the job and smell nice and refreshing. 

2. Jergens Foot Cream | 100ml

I've had this one for years. I purchased this a few years ago in Dubai.

3. Daiso Silk Oil Blotting Paper

Where would I be without these blotting papers???

4. Watsons H Bella Strawberry & Cinnamon Hand Cream | 80ml

Another purchase from years ago. Smells lovely. I'll not be repurchasing this one as I want to try out other hand creams and  hand creams last a long time with me.

5. Nyx Stay Matte Not Flat Powder Foundation in Caramel

I used this as a blotting powder throughout the day at work. It was okay. I'll not be repurchasing this is I want to try other powders. I have super oily skin and I didn't feel that this product did anything much for me in terms of oil control.

6. Oral B Essential Floss | 50m

This was a waxed floss which does the job that it's supposed to do. I normally carry floss in my handbag.

Empties October 2015

These are the products that I finished in October 2015:

1. Fa Pink Passion Deodorant | 150 ml

I purchased this  in a set of three in Dubai two years ago. I like the floral fragrance. Expect to see this product reappearing again in the future as I have two more bottles to go through.

2. Guardian Wet Wipes | Sea Breeze | 10 Sheets

This was a freebie that was given to me during one of the health fairs in Mid Valley last year, I think. I found the sheets rough and I much prefer the Tesco Loves Baby Moisturising Wipes over this one.

3. Tesco Loves Baby | 30 Moisturising Baby Wipes

These wipes are sold in twin packs and this is the first pack that I have finished using (you can read my review on this product here). I used this as makeup remover wipes and it does the job! It also smells nice. I'm using the second pack now :)

4. Sunsilk Smooth & Manageable Conditioner | Trial Sachet | 6 ml
This product has a strong chemical smell and it really didn't do anything for my hair.  

Empties September 2015

These are the empties in September 2015:

1. Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser
Love this cleanser. I've already repurchased another bottle. I transfer the product into a pump dispenser so that I don't waste the product squeezing it out from the original bottle.

2. Johnson's Baby Skincare Wipes  20's | Ultra Sensitive | Fragrance Free
Bought this pack out of curiosity. I used them to remove makeup.

It says that it's fragrance free but it does has a baby powder sort of scent. Price-wise, this was definitely more expensive than the Tesco Baby Wipes.

I also found these wipes a tad too moist for my liking.

Repurchase? Probably not as I prefer the fresh scent of the Tesco Baby Wipes (and they are a lot cheaper too --- Score!).

This is my default purchase when it comes to facial oil blotters.

Empties August 2015

These are my empties for August 2015:

1. Tesco Loves Baby Gentle Baby Wipes (80 Sheets)
This is what I use as makeup wipes. It smells nice, it's gentle and, most importantly, doesn't cost an arm and a leg --- Score! I've since repurchased this product.

2. Tesco Everyday Value Facial Cotton Pads (100 pieces)
I actually prefer these to the covered cotton pads. I find these nice and soft on my skin. I use these to remove my eye and face makeup at the end of the day.

These were sold in twin packs and I'm on my second pack now.

3. Guardian Facial Blotter (100 Sheets)
This is one of the products that I regret buying. The paper is thick and not very absorbent. To make things worse, I bought not only one but TWO of these when Guardian had a promotion going on in their stores.

As I am not one to waste products, I am plan to go through the second pack. Definitely not a product that I would repurchase.

4. Essence Long Lasting Eyeliner in Berry Merry
Hmmm... This was a product that I purchased out of curiosity. Read the review about it here.

Despite the many rave reviews about this line of products, this is not something that I would repurchase as I think that it is quite pricey for the amount of product and wear that you get out of it. The color doesn't really last that long and I think there are better quality products out there.

Not going to repurchase this one.


Well, like everything else out there, not everything purchased on a budget is going to be great. But then again, you could purchase high end products and still not be pleased with the quality that you get. I digress..... Still, there are many good products out there that you don't have to break the bank to purchase.

I love my little experiment purchases and I especially love it when I am pleasantly surprised when I discover a gem :)

1. FA Deodorant Purple Passion
I purchased this in a pack of three on one of my trips to Dubai. It keeps me smelling divine :)

2. Benefit Maybe Baby Body Lotion 200 ml
This is the second tube which was purchased on ebay years ago and which I rediscovered in my closet recently. I really love this product and am so sad that it's been discontinued :(

3. Simple Clear Skin Oil Balancing Moisturiser
I used this as a makeup remover.

4. The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream 15 ml
This is another product that I discovered sitting in my closet. This was a freebie that came with the purchase of other products from the Body Shop. This is another product that I used as a makeup remover as I don't use moisturisers and I hate to see a product go to waste.

5. Daiso Silk Facial Oil Blotter
This is one product that I keep repurchasing over and over again.

1. Guardian Facial Squares 100 Pieces

2. Lux Soap in Magical Spell 

A frugal solution that costs a fraction of the shower gels that I used to purchase although I still do enjoy treating myself to shower gels from time to time.

3. Body Shop Japanese Cherry Blossom EDT 50ml

This came as part of my birthday gift set from my sister a few years ago. The gift set consists of a shower gel (which was the first to be used and finished), a body lotion, a body mist spray and an EDT (just finished) which all came in a gift basket. 

It's an okay scent and not something that I would purchase for myself.

4. Daiso Silk Oil Blotters
My favorite oil blotters that I've repurchased this product a zillion times!

Empties: March & April 2015

These are my empties for March and April:

1. Johnson's Baby Lotion
I used this as a makeup remover.

2, Simple Purifying Cleansing Lotion
I sometimes have a reaction towards this product and it doesn't really remove makeup as much as I'd like it to :/

3. Benefit Maybe Baby EDT 50 ml
Love, love, love the scent. This is something I discovered sitting in the dark corner of my closet. It was something I purchased and forgot about until years later! This product has sadly been discontinued :(

4. Nivea Invisible Anti-Perspirant
Does this work? It still left marks on my black clothes :(

5. Daiso Silk Oil Blotters
My favorite oil blotters which is always a repeat buy.

Just thought I'd share with you my empties in February 2015:

1. Minnie Mouse Cotton Facial Pads   150 pieces
Purchased this in Guardian while it was on sale. Thought that the packaging was cute.

2. Daiso Facial Oil Blotters
I use the ones in the box at home. Not brilliant but it does the job, so I can't complain.

3. Daiso Facial Oil Blotters
I usually have a pack in my handbag for use throughout the day when I am at work. This isn't the kind that I would normally purchase at Daiso but they were out of my regular ones and I was desperate for some!

4. Nivea Anti-Perspirant Spray in Energy Fresh   150ml
This is one of my repeat buys from time to time.

5. Clear Anti-Dandruff Shampoo   350ml
I've had this for AGES!!!

6. Benefit's Maybe Baby Body Lotion   200ml
Purchased this years ago and forgot all about it until I rediscovered it recently. I simply adore this product. It's a shame that it has been discontinued :( And oh, it's got tiny shimmers in it that can only be seen when light shines on your skin. I love, love, love the scent!

7. Marks and Spencers Peach and Almond Bath   500ml
This was my treat purchase last Raya. While the product is good, the scent isn't something that I am likely to repurchase. The bottle is pretty and I'm saving it to be used for other products that I buy in refill packs.
