Earth Care | Feet for a Queen Rosemary Avocado Healing Foot Balm

I purchased that Earth Care Feet for a Queen Foot Balm the same time that I purchased the Earth Care Orange Tea Lip Balm (read about it here). I simply love the lemon grass scent of this balm.

I have to be honest though that the texture of the balm of the tester that I tried is much different than the texture of balm that I purchased. The tester balm was super soft while the balm that I purchased is kinda hard. Hmmmm........

Getting the product out of the tin can get to be a tad of a challenge. I have now resorted to scraping a tiny bit of the balm off with my finger nail and applying it to where I want it on my feet.

I normally apply this balm on my feet just before bed. I like the feel of the balm on my feet but is it making my feet smoother or improving the texture of my feet? Hmmmm.... I can't really say, to be honest.

I treat this more as a feet pampering product. Results? None that I can see nor feel the difference after using it almost daily for almost four weeks now.

D.I.Y. Coconut Lime Sugar Scrub

I often come across vendors who sell D.I.Y. organic scrubs in the shopping malls but as much as I love smelling them, I just can't justify paying RM30+ for what seems like just a cup of homemade scrub.

So I decided to save some bucks and learn to make my own sugar scrub and after much research online (where I found loads of homemade beauty recipes) I decided to dive right in and make my own body scrub.

These are the ingredients and cost of each item:
Coconut Oil                                RM16
Kaffir Lime Essential Oil            RM17.90
Coarse Sugar (1 kg)                  RM2.85

I only made 3/4 cups of scrub as I wanted to keep it fresh. I packed my homemade scrub into a recycled cranberry jar (I knew that all those jars that I have been saving would come in handy some day!)

The smell of my Coconut Lime Sugar Scrub was simply lovely and the scrub left my skin feeling silky smooth.

I still lots have of ingredients left to try out other scrub recipes :) Love!

Earth Care Soaps Green Tea Orange Moisturising Lip Balm

I love pampering products. I happened to come by this brand while I was browsing at the Christmas stalls in The Curve after work yesterday.

I came across the Earth Care Soaps stall and I just loved the array of skincare products that they had on display. As it turns out, the Earth Care Soaps stall had more than just soaps. They also had facial and body scrubs, lip scrubs, lip balms, carrier and essential oils, body oil blend, hair oil blend and balms.

I tried swatching one of the lip balms on the back of my hand and I fell in love with the texture that just melted into my skin. I was sold.

I picked the limited holiday edition Green Tea Orange lip balm as I love the orange scent. It smells just so yummy. I just love sniffing this product...

This lip balm is colorless and goes on smoothly. My lips feel moisturised with it on. The packaging allows the product to be swivelled up and back down after use.

This is an organic product and as it is with organic products, the shelf life is not very long. This lip balm expires in July 2016.

I applied it on my lips before going to bed last night and woke up this morning with soft, kissable lips :D. So yes, this is certainly a purchase that I am pleased with.

MooGoo Edible Strawberry Tinted Lip Balm Review

This is my second MooGoo Edible Lip Balm purchase. The first purchase that I made was the MooGoo Cow Lick Lip Balm which I purchased over a year ago and reviewed it here (click on the link). Incidentally, I still have a little bit more to go on that tube of lip balm even though I carry it in my handbag and have been using it almost every day. I guess that just goes to show just how little lip balm I use each time I apply it.

Anyway, back to the MooGoo Edible Strawberry Tinted Lip Balm... I've been meaning to purchase this lip balm for the longest time but have been putting it off as it was, until recently, only made available online and I didn't want to pay the RM10.00 delivery charge on a lip balm that costs only RM16.90 to begin with. I finally dragged myself down to the local supplier's office recently to purchase this tube of lip balm only to discover a few days later that it was selling in Watson's in 1-Utama!

The reason why I stopped using lipsticks and use safe lip balms is because "what goes on the lips gets eaten" and who wants to eat chemicals??? :O

The no nasty chemicals ingredients list. MooGoo's claim is that they are proud to list all the ingredients they use in their products and not just the safe ones.

The tinted color of the lip balm which may appear to look like it's pretty dark but really, once on the lips, it is not really that visible. It gives only a touch of dark tinted color to my lips.

What I liked about this product:
1. It's a safe natural product that contains no nasty chemicals.
2. It smells really sweet ... like strawberries!

My reservations about this product:
1. I found this product to be a tad on the dry side when compared to the Cow Lick Lip Balm, which I prefer in terms of texture.
2. The color wasn't really what I was expecting but hey, it's difficult to get vibrant colors when you're limited to using natural products. The color is more of a dark brown rather than a red (the color is from beets, by the way, in case you're wondering and so, I guess, that makes it also a vegan product).

MooGoo Cow Lick Lip Balm

The chemical free ingredients

An edible lip balm (why hasn't anyone thought about it before???) --- makes good sense since it's on our lips and I'd want what I put on my lips (and potentially will eat) to be safe.

This colourless edible lip balm by MooGoo smells like mandarin oranges and doesn't contain anything nasty. I've been using this product for a few months now and there's still a lot more left!

I absolutely love this lip balm. It's the one lip balm that I have in my handbag all the time and I particularly love the mug shot of the moo cow on this product!

Would I recommend  this product? Definitely!

MooGoo Milk Shampoo and Conditioner

I've been using the MooGoo Milk Shampoo for the past three months now.

What I like about MooGoo Milk Shampoo
  • It's nasties free --- no SLS, no parabens, no .....................
  • It works at reducing itching scalp caused by dandruff which makes it a mild anti-dandruff shampoo though it does take a few washes before you feel its effects.
  • It smells nice :)
  • Although it may initially seem to cost a bomb when compared to the nasty shampoos that they sell in the pharmacies and supermarkets, it's actually good value for money when compared to other safe shampoo brands as you get a 500ml bottle for the around same price (if not less) as the other safe shampoo brands that give you only 200/ 250 ml only.
What's not so great about MooGoo Milk Shampoo
  • It can get to be runny in consistency sometimes (depending on the batch that you get)
  • It leaves my hair looking greasy and flat looking :(
What I like about MooGoo Conditioner
  • The bottle comes with a pump dispenser (don't know why the Milk Shampoo doesn't come with a pump dispenser)
  • It smells nice :)
  • It enhances the natural curls in my hair.
What I don't like about MooGoo Conditioner
  • It doesn't take the tangles out of my long wavy hair. I get knots in my hair after using this product and recently, my hair was so tangled that I had to resort to using my old nasty conditioner just to detangle my hair!

Would I purchase the products again?
I would probably repurchase the shampoo again for it's anti-dandruff effectiveness until I find another safe shampoo that would work on my hair without leaving it greasy and flat looking. I don't think I'll be repurchasing the conditioner again though. The search for an affordable natural ingredients shampoo and conditioner that would work for my hair and scalp continues....sigh...

Living Nature Foundation

The pump dispenser that dispenses waayyy too much product

My solution to the problem : The cosmetics syringe
that I use to save the amount of product dispensed

In my quest to make a move towards using safer and natural cosmetic products, I made this switch to Living Nature's Foundation.

I've been using it for almost two months now and I love it. It goes on smoothly and is light weight and really doesn't feel like I'm wearing make-up at all. I use the color Sand and it looks really natural on me.
It smells like milk chocolate when you're applying it but the smell doesn't last long.

The foundation is packaged in a 30ml glass bottle and comes with a plastic pump dispenser.

A small drawback of the pump is that it's hard to control the amount that it pumps out and it tends to pump out way too much product. I've overcome that problem by purchasing a cosmetics syringe that allows me to use only as much product as I need.

Would I recommend you purchase this product? Definitely!

Living Nature products can be purchased in all Justlife Stores.

MooGoo Full Cream

The Full Cream tub comes packaged in a box

The all good ingredients

The MooGoo Full Cream is the thicker version of the MooGoo Udder Skin Milk. I've been using this product since December (I bought it on Christmas Eve). I purchased the 250ml tub (it also comes in a 75g airless travel pump dispenser).

I simply llooovvveee this cream. I've been using it every day after taking a shower and it just sinks into my skin. It needs to be worked in a little bit but when done, it feels good with  no greasy feeling. It has a very slight scent which goes away quickly. I've been using this product for about 2 months now and I'm only half way through the tub. A tub lasts a long time and is good value for the money spent :)

Oh, did I mention that it uses only natural ingredients and doesn't contain anything nasty? Check out the ingredients list for yourself.

Would I repurchase this product again? Definitely!

MooGoo Anti-Ageing Face Cream

The MooGoo Anti-Ageing Face Cream
and the "milk carton" that it comes in

I bought the MooGoo Anti-Ageing Face Cream after reading rave reviews about this product online. I've been using it for the past three weeks and let me tell you, I just love it. I've got oily skin and what I like about this face cream is that it's not oily and feels great on the skin.

It comes in a 75g pump bottle packaged in a milk carton. I absolutely adore the milk carton packaging (Hey, what can I say, I just think that the packaging is so right for the product line which is basically made from milk products)!

I use it after washing my face and I normally use about half a pump for both my face and neck. A little bit goes a long way and I expect this product will last me a long time.

This cream contains Resveratrol and Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, both of which are anti-oxidants. It also has a light fresh scent that goes away fairly quickly.

To be quite honest, I'm not sure if my skin looks any better now than before I started using the product but hey, it's an organic product that feels great on my skin and to me, that is all that I need. I'm all for using safe products on my skin nowadays.

This product gets a thumbs up from me. Try it, you might be surprised.
