yup, another year and another list of new author reads and to start it off is this one that i just finished reading a few days ago.

this one is not really my genre of choice --- kind of harry potter-ish.  i picked this one up from the bookcrossing zone. 

what i found interesting about this book is that its characters are based on real people as well as mythology.
